Oscar Plastow is a Part 2 Architectural Assistant. He has recently obtained his masters in architecture from the Bartlett School of Architecture.
Oscar joined CDA in 2013 having graduated with a 1st class architecture degree from Kingston University where he was awarded the 2012 Portfolio Prize and was nominated for the RIBA Presidents Medals Award 2012. He has also won the Jonathan & Victoria Ball Drawing prize 2012 and 2013, the Bastiaan Valkenburg Prize 2011 and was the student winner in the ‘Architectural Journal’ ‘Sketch a façade competition’ 2012. He continued to work at CDA whilst studying for his masters, working on Albion Works, Maunsel House and other projects.
Prior to his employment at Chris Dyson Architects Oscar was employed as a Construction Site Manager for four years. Oscar’s construction experience has advanced his practical understanding of the technical aspects of construction, the build process, site programming, design development, and the ability to work with a client and crucially the effective management of people.
Through his employment he managed the build of a variety of projects ranging from a large-scale ecologically-aware stone and cob, new build development, the complete renovation of a Grade II listed large Georgian townhouse in Highgate Village and the RNLI Life Boat Station Fistral Beach, Newquay.
